About the job
Your tasks: You help Santa Claus with his visits at Santa's cabin and in the hotels Nellim, Inari, Muotka and Saariselkä, welcome families, create atmosphere in the lobby, run activities for children indoors and outdoors (crafts, decorating gingerbread, games in the snow) and sometimes join the guides on excursions. Not ordinary customer service: you are there when a child meets Santa for the first time.
What you bring: The courage to take on a role, a cheerful, open attitude, Christmas spirit, good interaction skills and good English (other languages are a plus), readiness to work evenings and weekends. Experience in performing, with children or in tourism helps, but the right attitude matters most.
What Wilderness Hotels offers you: A Christmas season roughly from late November to Epiphany (weeks 48 to 1), from €13 gross per hour plus extras, staff benefits and nature right outside. If needed, Wilderness Hotels provides staff housing: clean, fully equipped flats, you basically only need a toothbrush and warm clothes; in winter you share a room with one colleague.
About the company: Nellim Wilderness Hotels and Safaris runs several wilderness hotels in the municipality of Inari (Nellim, Inari, Muotka, Saariselkä), far north of the Arctic Circle, with guests from all over the world and around 400 staff in winter.
