About the job
Your tasks: You care for and train the huskies, lead guests on sledding tours, give safety instructions, keep kennel and equipment in shape, feed, groom and monitor the dogs' health, and teach guests about huskies and mushing. You also help with other resort activities when needed.
What you bring: You have dog mushing or sled dog experience, a passion for animals and nature, good fitness and strong communication skills, basic animal first aid, cope with the cold and hold a driving licence. Tourism or guiding experience, several languages and local knowledge help. You need the right to work in Finland.
What Northern Lights Village Saariselkä offers: A season from October to April in Finnish Lapland. Pay 2,408 to 2,580 euros per month depending on skills and experience, supplements and overtime under the collective agreement. 120 hours per three weeks.
